adamapi is operated by Adam Proksch, doing business as adamapi (“adamapi,” “we,” “us”), in the United States. You can reach us at [email protected].
This policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit adamapi.com (the “Site”), use any client portal or tools we provide, contact us, or hire us for Professional Services (together, the “Services”). It also explains the choices and rights you have.
Our two roles. For information about our own customers, visitors, and business contacts (account details, billing, support, website use), we are the controller (or “business”). For personal data that you give us to process for you, such as data we see or handle while working in your systems, you are the controller and we are your processor (or “service provider”). In that case your instructions and our Data Processing Addendum apply, and you are responsible for your own privacy notices to the people concerned.
Information you give us
Information we handle on your behalf
Information collected automatically
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as health data, government IDs, or payment card numbers) and ask you not to send it to us (see our Terms).
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use Customer Data to train AI models, and we do not use it for our own marketing.
We previously offered a hosted transcript product, which we have discontinued. Transcript pages that were already published may remain viewable at their original web addresses until they expire or are removed, and are viewable by anyone who has the link. Anyone who appears in one can ask us to remove it under our Takedown / Data Requests policy.
We share personal information only as described here:
We are based in the United States and process data there. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum) as described in our DPA, and ask our sub-processors to do the same.
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or de-identify it. Typical periods:
Backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule. If we are legally required to preserve data (for example, a legal hold), we keep it until the obligation ends.
The marketing pages of the Site do not use advertising or analytics cookies or trackers. Any client portal we provide may use strictly necessary cookies or local storage (for example, to keep you signed in and protect against forgery). These do not require consent in most places and are not used to track you across other sites. If we later add analytics or any non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and ask for consent where the law requires it. Our Site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals because we do not track you across sites.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, least-privilege access to credentials, masking of secrets in logs, and restricting who can access production systems. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and regulators as the law requires.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
To exercise a right, follow our Takedown / Data Requests process or email [email protected]. We will verify your identity, acknowledge receipt, and respond within 30 days (45 days for California residents, extendable as the law permits). You can use an authorized agent in California, and you may appeal a refusal by replying to our decision. If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland you may also complain to your local data protection authority. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA described in Section 11.
If your information was submitted to us by one of our customers (for example, you appear in content a customer shared with us), we are acting for that customer and may refer your request to them.
In the past 12 months we have collected the categories of personal information listed in Section 2 (identifiers, commercial information, internet activity, and, for logged-in users, account data) for the business purposes in Section 3, from the sources and disclosed to the categories of recipients described above. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA/CPRA and do not knowingly sell or share the information of anyone under 16. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit. Under California’s “Shine the Light” law, you may ask once a year about disclosures for third parties’ direct marketing; we make none.
The legal bases we rely on are listed in Section 3. We have not appointed an EU or UK representative because we do not target those markets with offerings or monitor behavior there; if that changes we will update this policy. Where a customer is the controller of personal data we process for them, they decide the purposes and legal bases.
The Services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it. Customers must not send us the personal data of children under 16 (see our Terms).
The Site may link to other sites and services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
We may update this policy. If the changes are material we will give notice by email before they take effect. The “Effective” date above shows when it was last updated.
Questions, requests, or complaints about privacy: [email protected]. Please put “Privacy” in the subject line.
