1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to everyone who uses adamapi’s Services, including your team, your end users, and anyone you give access. It is part of our Terms of Service. We want the Services to be safe, reliable, and lawful for everyone.
2. Don’t use the Services to
- break the law, or to help someone else do so, including laws on privacy, consumer protection, sanctions and export control;
- submit, host, or distribute content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative (including any content involving minors), or that promotes violence or self-harm;
- dox, stalk, or expose another person’s private information (such as home addresses, government IDs, financial or medical information) without their consent or lawful basis;
- violate the terms of any platform your data or integrations come from, including Discord’s Terms of Service, Developer Terms, and Community Guidelines;
- send spam, phishing, malware, or deceptive content, or impersonate a person or organization;
- attempt to access accounts, systems, data, or APIs you are not authorized to access, or give us credentials you have no right to share;
- probe, scan, or test the security of our Services or anyone else’s without written permission;
- interfere with or overload the Services, including by exceeding documented rate limits, or by circumventing usage limits, quotas, or billing;
- reverse-engineer, copy, scrape, resell, or sublicense the Services or their output without our written permission, except as the law allows;
- build or train a competing service using non-public parts of our Services; or
- use the Services for high-risk activities where failure could cause death, injury, or serious harm, such as medical devices, aviation, or critical infrastructure.
3. Sensitive data
Do not send us protected health information, payment card numbers or authentication data, government ID numbers, biometric or genetic data, precise location data, or the personal data of children under 16, unless we have agreed to it in writing in advance.
4. Security responsibilities
- Keep API keys, passwords, and tokens secret, scoped to what’s needed, and rotate them if exposed.
- Give us the minimum access necessary for work we perform, and revoke it when the work ends.
- Tell us promptly at [email protected] about any suspected compromise or misuse of the Services.
5. Reporting a vulnerability
If you believe you have found a security vulnerability in the Services, please email [email protected] with details. Please act in good faith: avoid privacy violations, data destruction, and service disruption, don’t access more data than necessary to demonstrate the issue, and give us reasonable time to fix it before disclosing it publicly. We will not pursue legal action against good-faith research that follows these rules.
6. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations. If we believe you have violated this AUP we may remove content, throttle, suspend, or terminate access (see the Terms), and report unlawful activity to authorities. Where practical we will warn you first, but we may act immediately if there is risk of harm, legal exposure, or a threat to the Services. Reports of content that violates this policy can be sent through our Takedown / Data Requests process.
7. Changes
We may update this AUP and will post the new version here with a new effective date. Material changes will be notified as described in the Terms.
